Cochran Ltd are seeking an Electrician to work within the Factory. This will involve the wiring of industrial steam & hot water boilers, burners, gas trains, other associated components/products and combustion control systems, to high quality standards and with tight time constraints.

This position is full-time, based in Newbie and reports to the Works Foreman.


What is the role?

  • Wiring of industrial steam & hot water boilers
  • Wiring of burners & combustion control systems
  • Simulating testing and fault finding on the above elements
  • Conduct general electrical maintenance and repair on manufacturing machinery and equipment as required

What you will bring?

  • Completion of Recognised Craft Apprenticeship
  • ONC/HNC qualification in a relevant electrical engineering discipline
  • 18th Edition Electrical Installation Qualification
  • Knowledge of PLC type control systems would be an advantage
  • Previous experience in boiler and combustion control systems
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Must be conversant with schematic wiring drawings generated from AutoCAD
