Cochran attend Royal Opening of The Lakes Distillery

Cochran were proud to be present at the recent opening of the new £7m development, The Lakes Distillery, by HRH Princess Anne.

A Turnkey project - Cochran manufactured, installed and commissioned a 2000 kg/hr Wee Chieftain Steam Boiler, accompanying hotwell tank, blowdown vessel and water treatment equipment.  Cochran also project managed the installation of the chimney and of the pipework both in the boilerhouse and the still house.

David Branch, Business Development Manager and Brian Peat, the Project Engineer had the opportunity to chat to Her Royal Highness during the official tour.

The Lakes Distillery, situated on the picturesque banks of Bassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria, is the only distillery in the county and has already started to produce award-winning spirits.  Complimented by a highly commended Bistro and a Shop, the Distillery is set to become one of the regions most visited tourist attractions with 100,000 visitors expected annually.
