What is the role?

  • To produce consistent level of high quality welded joints on various products, while utilising a diverse range of welding processes & techniques. These are subjected to strenuous inspection with U/T, X-Ray & MPI techniques.
  • Welding of shell boilers & pressures vessels constructed to BS2790 and EN12953, using MMA, SAW & FCAW welding processes
  • Welding of boiler casings, support structures and associated parts using MIG process
  • Welding of economisers and pipework with TIG welding process

What you will bring?

  • Time served Coded Welder essential
  • Completion of Recognised Craft Apprenticeship
  • ONC Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Good overall diversity in various welding processes
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Conversant with fabrication drawings generated from
