Every Cochran Blowdown Vessel is designed and built to satisfy PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) requirements and is UKCA, UKNI+CE or CE marked accordingly. In addition, each vessel meets the requirements of the UK's stringent Health and Safety Guidance Note PM60, as well as Annex D of BS EN12953-6.

All steam boilers need a blowdown vessel to reduce the pressure and temperature of the discharge into the atmospheric pressure in a safe and controlled manner.

Blowdown Vessel
  • Operational Capability: Cochran Blowdown Vessels are designed for a pressure of 7 barg and a temperature of 171°C.
  • Coating: Cochran Blowdown Vessels are finished in a robust, heat-resistant aluminium paint.
  • Connections: Flanged connections are in accordance with BSEN1092 with a rating of PN16.
