An awards ceremony was recently held to celebrate the latest batch of Cochran apprentices successfully completing their training. The ceremony was attended by local MSP Joan McAlpine, who presented the awards.
James Lynn, Manufacturing Manager said “These awards are well deserved. They have worked hard to complete their training and have shown a first class attitude. All of them will now be joining the team as fully qualified tradesmen”.
The next crop of apprentices are also showing a lot of promise with Jamie Wallace, Cochran Apprentice of the Year, being runner up for the national award at the 2015 ICOM trade association awards. His skills and attitude were commended by the judging panel. The awards were presented by guest speaker, polar explorer Mr. Alan Chambers MBE.
