Cochran re-entered the South Africa market in 2014. Working with our local partner, Steam Generation, we achieved immediate success and now have references for all our key steam boiler ranges, Wee Chieftain, Thermax and Borderer. As part of our continuing development of the market the Cochran Simplex and Triplex ranges of gas fired pressure jet burners have now been independently tested and approved by the Southern African Gas Association (SAGA). The burners are now certified to meet the requirements of the local Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993) and Pressure Equipment Regulation (PER) R 734 published 15 July 2009.
Mark Smith, Export Manager, stated “We are pleased to have achieved the SAGA accreditation and are already working to add our Equinox range to the SAGA approved list. This is another step in Cochran being able to offer total solutions to the Southern Africa market. I feel, that through Steam Generation, we have the ideal partner to offer our customers up front guidance, installation and after market care and I am excited about the opportunities to continue to develop this region into a key market for Cochran”.
