Cochran Apprentice of the Year 2024 - Zak Adams (Apprentice Pipe Fitter)
Zak is lives in Dumfries and attended Dumfries High School. He joined Cochran in July 2021. Attends Dumfries and Galloway College. In his spare time Zak enjoys playing football, travelling, socialising with friends, mountain biking in our local forests and going to watch his favourite football team Celtic.
Zak chose to do an Apprenticeship Programme with Cochran because it gives him the opportunity to learn a trade, earn a wage as well as giving him important life skills, whilst being close to family and friends.
We are also delighted to reveal that Zak is one of 3 shortlisted Apprentices that have been invited as guests of ICOM to attend the ICOM Annual Luncheon, to be held at St Ermins Hotel, London on 6th June 2024, where the ICOM Apprentice of the Year Award will be presented.
The winning apprentice will receive a trophy, a certificate and a gift voucher. The ICOM member with the winning apprentice will get a £250 reduction in their 2025 subscription fee, a feature in the ICOM weekly news, a news article on the ICOM website and social media event coverage.
Travelling down to London to support Zak are David Weild, David Young, Allan Shaw and James Johnstone and Andy Burrows.
