Cochran's
turnover has grown by around 25% over the last year and they have
already secured more boiler orders in 2011 than all of last year. This
has seen our Annan based tradesmen sometimes working extra hours to help
complete orders.
Most significantly, at a time of high youth unemployment, the company recruited four apprentices last year and this month a further five
started work. Cochran are not complacent about future prospects and say
the market continues to be highly competitive.
David Branch, Head of Sales said: "Government spending cuts have seen a fall off in
public sector projects and we are not seeing significant private sector
investment in UK capital projects. "This is bound to have an impact in
the coming months. "Times remain challenging but Cochran looks forward
to the future with renewed confidence."
