Cochran’s EB90 packaged medium voltage steam boiler is a horizontal design constructed in accordance with BS EN 12953.

It complies with the requirements of the Factories Act (1961) and Arrangement 3 of Guidance on Safe Operation of Boilers Ref: BG01 and/or BG13 developed by the Safety Assessment Federation (SAFED) and the Combustion Engineering Association (CEA), the latter being the acceptance criteria for compliance with HSE and UK Inspection Authority requirements. In addition, the EB90 is UKCA, UKNI or CE marked to meet the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Low Voltage; Electro-Magnetic Compliance & Machinery Safety Directives. Throughout the manufacturing process, this boiler is subject to inspection by a leading Independent Insurance Company, in addition to Cochran’s own ISO 9001-compliant quality procedures.

Cochran’s EB90 packaged medium voltage steam boiler offers the following key features:

• Output range of 3,000 kg/hr to 15,000 kg/hr F&A 100°C using resistance heating elements.
• Normal operating pressure up to 17 Barg, with options above.
• 4,160V or 6,600V resistance heating element bundle matched to the boiler in accordance with the rating.
• Supplied with matched medium voltage converter system.
• Boiler nett efficiency greater than 99%.
• Higher total system efficiency due to the higher operating voltage.
• Lower installation costs due to the higher operating voltage.
