An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Trainee IT Support Technician to join our busy IT Department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who will undergo training as a Support Technician to maintain IT and communications equipment and systems in use within the Company. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, accuracy and attention to detail are a must.
This position is Full Time, based in Newbie and reports to the IT Manager.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Undergo training and professional development to become an effective IT support technician
- Assist the IT Team to ensure technology operates correctly, efficiently, and is secure.
- Maintain a detailed personal technical knowledge base of the Company’s systems
- Develop a personal professional development plan with external certification
- Under supervision participate in handling user requests and resolving faults
- Carry out any other ad-hoc tasks as specified by the IT Manager
- Maintain Company standards and comply with Company policies as stated in the Staff Handbook
Essential Skills, Qualities and Experience
- No prior experience essential as full training will be given
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organised and efficient
- Maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality
Desirable Skills and Qualities
- Any previous experience of IT systems would be an advantage
